Maganda ung grade na nakuha ko sa AP Lang final: A! Sabi nya, "Nicely done - good topic. Using names might also add interest and clarity." Topic ko? Third culture kids and the effects of being one/moving frequently. Medyo inlab ako sa topic na yun. Nag-enjoy akong magresearch at magbrainstorm at magsulat.

Last Monday, AP Lang ulit, pinaguusapan namin yung isang excerpt galing sa diary ni Mary MacLane. Tapos tinanong ni Barber (ung teacher) kung may nakapansin ba na may ka-style sya na ibang writer. "Does anyone know who this piece is reminiscent of?" Tapos inisip ko na transcendentalist siguro, kasi celebration/knowing/appreciation of self ung theme ng excerpt. E di ung mga kaklase ko sabi nila Thoreau. Eh nature-y at spiritual-y at loner-y si Thoreau. So hindi sya. Tapos naisip ko si Emerson. Eh, di masyado. Tapos naisip ko, ung ending kasi sabi, "I sing only the Ego and the individual..." I sing. Whitman! Walt Whitman! Song of Myself! Pa-bulong ko pang sinabi nung una kasi ayokong mali pala ung sinabi ko. Pero narinig nya ko, sabi nya sa kin, "What was that? I think you said it." Inulit ko na mas malakas, at sabi nya tama ako. Yay!

Last Tuesday naman, AP Lang parin. Binalik nya samin ung paragraphs namin na sinulat. Tapos diniscuss nya kung ano ung appropriate na content ng paragraph. Tapos sabi nya, "I think only one or two of you in this period (and another one in last period) emphasized the differences between the upper and lower class, the speaker's condescension toward the crowd of people he sees, etc..." Ako yun! Haha. Tama ung sinulat ko!

Last Wednesday, AP Lang nanaman! Binalik nya ung grammar quiz namin. 100% nakuha ko! Hehe.

Yun lang. Little victories. This sem, mas mataas ung makukuha kong grade. Sana.
